Tanzania : Kilimanjaro via Machame Route.

The highest mountain in Africa, Kilimanjaro has different routes visited by various people every year. Enjoy the very best with our experienced guides and porters who make it possible for you.

Day 1 Nairobi/Arusha
7.15 a.m. Pick from your Nairobi hotel. 8.00 a.m. Depart for Arusha via Namanga border town for immigration formalities. Rest of the afternoon at leisure. Overnight at an Arusha hotel.

Day 2 Arusha/Machame
An early start for Kilimanjaro National Park. Once we reach the park gate we will proceed directly to Machame hut campsite in an average hiking time of 6 hours for meals and overnight in tents. The altitude here is 3,100m.

Day 3 Machame/Shira
After breakfast hike to Shira hut. The trek takes 4 hours approximately via the rain forest past the valley and a steep rocky ridge ending westward at a river gorge. You will have a rest, dinner and overnight at Shira hut campsite, 3,658m above sea level.

Tanzania : 3 days Mt. Meru Climb and 4 days Wildlife Safari

A delightful mix of 4 days hiking and climbing Mt Meru combined with a wildlife safari to Ngorongoro, Olduvai, Arusha NP and Lake Manyara.

Day 1: ARUSHA / MIRIAKAMBA
In the morning transfer from Arusha to Momela gate from the gate proceed on trekking to Miriakamba. Lunch enroute, dinner and overnight Miriakamba camp.

Day 2: MIRIAKAMBA / SADLE
After breakfast go on hiking, break for lunch then continue to the Camp, dinner / overnight Sadle.

Day 3:SADLE / SUMMIT / SADLE
At midnight from Sadle, hike to Summit 4566 then back to Sadle for lunch, dinner / overnight Miriakamba.

The Shira Route traverses the large Shira Plateau to join the Machame Route.

The Shira Plateau west of Kibo is the remains Kilimanjaro's first volcano. Mawenzi erupted second, and finally, supported by its neighbors, Kibo rose to its great height betShira and Mawenzi. Older and more eroded than Mawenzi, the Shira Plateau's ridges and moorland comprise one of Kilimanjaro's most scenic areas. The drive to Shira offers magnificent views of the Great Rift Valley, Mount Meru, and Longido, and the plateau's parasitic cones extend north of the road, rising from from plain plateau.

Tanzania : Kilimanjaro Climb -Marangu Route “Coca Cola Route

The "Coca Cola" Route is Kilimanjaro's easiest, shortest, and most popular route. The trip usually takes 5 days. You can however also add an additional acclimatization day and make it a 6-day trip

Marangu Gate (1,830 m/6,000 ft) to Uhuru Peak (5,895 m/19,340 ft) and return
The Marangu Route is the easiest and shortest route to Kilimanjaro's summit and is known as the "Coca Cola" or "tourist" route. This is the only route on Kilimanjaro with the comforts of solar-powered sleeping huts and comfortable beds at every camp. The huts are communal, and each bunk has a sponge mattress and pillow. There are 60 beds at both Mandara and Kibo Huts and 120 beds at Horombo Hut. Bathrooms and running water are available at the two lower huts. Basic men's and ladies' latrines are available at the last camp.
All climbing groups, often from several countries around the world, share meals in dining huts providing a jovial and energetic atmosphere. Soft drinks, bottled water, and beer may be for sale at the huts. Bring small Tanzanian bills to purchase these items (prices increase with elevation).

This long, little-used route parallels the lower part of the Shira Route.

The Lemosho Route is an unspoiled, remote, little-used, and beautiful way up to the Shira Plateau. Above the plateau, you approach Kilimanjaro's great western Breach, then follow the south circuit to reach the easier Barafu Route. This is one of the few routes where an armed ranger accompanies our groups, since there are still animals in the forest around the Lemosho Glades.

We do not place groups together. This way you are ensured the full attention of our guide, but with the added knowledge of our guides' experiences. It also means that we can start the climb on the day you prefer.

Tanzania : Great Heights - Kilimanjaro Climb - Shira Route

Climb Kilimanjaro via the Shira Route, - 6 days climb.

DAY 1 -- Shira Gate to Shira Camp

The drive from Moshi to the trailhead takes about 3 hours.
We walk through the rain forest on a winding trail up a ridge. Lower down, the trail can be muddy and slippery. Gaiters and trekking poles are a good idea here. We continue a short distance until we reach the Shira Camp.

Tanzania : Kilimanjaro climb & Zanzibar Beach Holiday

Our itinerary gives you both Adventure & Relaxation: Climb Kilimanjaro - Machame Route and afterwards take in the history and culture of Zanzibar whilst relaxing by the Indian Ocean!.

The most adventurous, but technical, climbing skills required. This trip is popular - a bit more expensive but worth it for frequent climbers. The climb crossing the rain forest gives you an open view of the glacier when you reach the Shira Plateau situated in the middle of the moorlands.

We have extremely qualified, knowledgeable and competent mountain guides/porters with whom the success of your climb will be greatly enhanced.

There are standard to luxurious lodges in Zanzibar. We have chosen the Serena Inn in Stone Town on Zanzibar and Breezes Beach on the East Coast of Zanzibar where we are sure you will enjoy and experience the natural surroundings.

Montane Forest
After breakfast and briefing, drive to the Kilimanjaro National Park Gate (45 minutes), register and commence the climb. Walk through the rainforest to the Mandara encampment located at 9000 ft / 2740 m. A side trip to Maundi Crater is a good way to see the surroundings including Northern Tanzania and Kenya. In the rainforest, look for towering Eucalyptus trees, bird life, and Colubus monkeys
