Saint Lucia : Sailing Yacht Day Trips
Martinique sailing and snorkeling day sails.
Rodney Bay to Le Marin and Sand Dollar beach.
Departs Rodney Bay at 7.30am and returns to Rodney Bay at 5.30pm .
An early start is required as this is quite a full active day. The passage between the islands is 20 miles so it is a real sailing experience. The channel conditions can be quite variable so the crossing times are approximate. As we are visiting another country, both customs and immigration formalities are required at departure and arrival points.
We arrive in Martinique at the port of Le Marin for customs/immigration clearance, then to Sand Dollar beach, which is nestled just inside the southern headland of Martinique . This beautiful undeveloped area is ideal for a long lunch, sunbathing, snorkeling, coastal walking, reading, siesta - whichever takes your fancy. Early to mid-afternoon we set sail for the return trip back to Rodney Bay .

Vanuatu : Charters and overnight cruises
There's something rather magical about a sailing cruise through the South Seas; of drinks on the deck at sunset in a quiet cove, a barbecue on the nearby beach and then, when you wake up, simply rolling off the deck into crystal waters and saying hello to the friendly fish below.
Sit on the deck and enjoy a warm croissant for breakfast, or fresh pawpaw (papaya for you Americans!), the up sails for a leisurely sail to the first stop of the day. Maybe it's a magnificent reef to SCUBA dive or snorkel, like Paul's Rock, or perhaps a day exploring Hat Island and the grave of Roymata. Or play Survivor for the day on one of the Survivor tribe's beaches, and check out how badly the Lopevi tribe flubbed it, when there was drinkable fresh water and food all around them! Hike to the top of Hat Island, or explore the remains of the crashed WWII Corsair fighter plane on Lelepa Island, or for longer trips, how about the spectacular Nguna Island, then anchor for the night in another quiet cove - and get set for the hermit crab races! [All crabs are released unharmed!] To see more details of the land component of these charters, go to Sailaway Cruises web site and click on day cruises. A drop menu of island names will appear.
Overnight Sailaway Safaris are designed more for groups, SCUBA divers, friends, large families etc., as accommodation on board is very basic. There are no set departure dates or durations for the overnight cruises, just a minimum requirement of a charter fee based on a minimum of 2 days, generally 0900 day one to 0900 day three, but can be 1730hrs Day 1 to 1730 hrs Day 3.
Vanuatu: Full Day Cruises (0800-1800hrs) aboard Sailing Trimaran 'Golden Wing'
Tropical Paradise conjure up visions of sprawling out on the deck of a sailing boat, drink in hand, as the wind carries you past secluded coves and swaying coconut palms. Down sails and drop anchor then SCUBA gear and simply roll into warm clear waters filled with vibrant tropical life.
Only Sailaway Cruises offers a genuine sailing cruise from Havannah Harbour on North Efate (about 45 minutes by small coach from Port Vila) to the nearby Lelepa and Hat Islands, the pristine Survivor Beach and the famous Paul's Rock. Sailaway Cruises does not take you to an island for the day and run diving and snorkelling tours from shore. This is a genuine sailing cruise where you will spend most of the day aboard, using the 7m/23ft wide deck as a place to spread out and relax. We anchor directly on diving reefs, and use an inflatable dinghy to take you ashore to explore Feles Cave, Roymata's grave and Survivor Beach or Lelepa Lagoon between dives. No clambering in and out of aluminium dinghies with SCUBA gear.
Sailing times between stops vary, but can be as short as 20 minutes or as long as 2 hours (Port Vila to North Efate via Tukutuku). The stable platform of a wide trimaran offers exceptionally comfortable sailing, and an easy place to gear up for the dive. No leaning over and little chance of seasickness.
Cruises operate between 3 and 7 days each week, depending on demand. Bookings can be made by email. You only need to pay for you cruise once you have arrived in Vanuatu. Payment will confirm your reservation.
