Lucerne - William Tell Express - Lugano - Bernina Express - St. Mortiz - Glacier Express - Zermatt
Simply the best - a unique combination of the four most famous "Expresses" in Switzerland. Your journey takes you from Central Switzerland to Italian-speaking Ticino, to the Grisons as well as to the Valais.
DAY 01 GENEVA/ZURICH - LUCERNE
Arrival at Lucerne Railway Station in 2nd class by train from the Swiss border or any of the swiss airports.
DAY 02 LUCERNE - LUGANO
Board the historic William Tell paddle steamer for the journey to Flüelen just before midday. A three-course meal is served on board in the first class restaurant. From Fluelen proceed by train to Lugano through the famous Gotthard tunnel in panorama cars 1st class. Overnight stay at Lugano.
DAY 03 LUGANO
Spend your time at leisure in Lugano. Situated in the southern part of Switzerland, enjoy the fabulous mediterranean atmosphere here. Walk upto Monte Bre or San Salvatore or stroll along the beautiful lakeside promenade. Overnight stay at Lugano.
DAY 04 LUGANO - ST. MORTIZ
Departure by the famous Bernina Express (1st class coach) to Tirano in Italy. From there, proceed by train over the Mount Bernina to St. Moritz. This incredible trip takes you through three cultures, an area of palm trees to a region of eternal snow and the valley of the young Rhine. Overnight stay at St. Moritz.
DAY 05 ST. MORTIZ
Take a day off for excursions. Overnight stay at St. Moritz.
DAY 06 ST. MORTIZ - ZERMATT
Today you take the world famous Glacier Express train from St. Moritz to Zermatt. After an exhilarating 7.5 hour trip, you will arrive at Zermatt. Overnight stay at Zermatt.
DAY 07 ZERMATT
Spend the full day at leisure in Zermatt. Overnight stay at Zermatt.
DAY 08 ZERMATT - GENEVA/ ZURICH
Return back to the Swiss border or airport or continue your stay in Switzerland if you wish.
