This tour recalls the long heritage coming from the first European explorators in Ivory Coast. You will begin the tour by visiting the old colonial houses of Grand Bassam and the few local artists. You continue your visit by learning more about the channel which was built between Grand Bassam and the estuary of Assinie. Travelling along the channel, you will explore the lagoon, learn about the life of the fishermen in the many coastal villages, and visit the plantations. Staying in your hotel by the sea, you will have much time to swim in the warm ocean.

Ivory Coast : The western route between sea and forest
3 days/2 nights
You take the road along the coast to the town of Sassandra. After the exploration on the dirt roads leading to soem amzing pristine beaches, you embark in a dugout pirogue for an excursion on the lagoon. This is the best way to watch the wildlife in the forest while you silently paddle along the river. From your traditional boat, you will enjoy the view of many birds and wild animals. In san Pedro, you will walk on the jety and see the local fishermen. Much relaxing on the beach.
